Quick and easy Breakfast Ideas

Recently, I had the chance to read and put into use a book that is well simply fantastic! My friend Carrie Willard of natural moms talk radio whom I recently told you about here who wrote the Natural Moms Business Guide.   Has recently came out with another, great book Helping moms to slash their grocery budget and still buy natural and feed a large family, all by shopping at Aldi!

If you have not had a chance to check out that book you can do so by visiting it here!

That’s not what I’m writing about however, I am even more excited over this new edition to her eBook arsenal. Carrie once again is a friend of mine and I truly admire her and how she home schools 7 kids and and does all this while her husband and her both work from home.  I don’t know about you, but that is a lot of mouths to feed. Especially 3 times a day, on clockwork.

Trust me, I have four kids that are homeschooled all boys and they stay hungry on demand…...Lol.

So when Carrie gave me the opportunity to review her book, I was all over it!

I’m so glad I did. This book came right at the right time, I have been struggling lately when it comes to getting the meal planning a little more organized. But more so in the morning time, which is truly the time when I am very sluggish and like to take my time.  Getting up early in the morning and hearing kids yell “Mommy, were hungry!” really is bit much to handle.

I’m a really good cook, I like to think so myself……however it just takes me a minute to get moving in the mornings. I really, really love this book and can truly say, I printed it out placed it in a binder and will use it over and over again.

Carrie’s Busy Mom’s Make Ahead Breakfast Cookbook is truly a life saver when it comes to breakfast ideas to feed the kiddies.

I love the fact that, she spoke of wanting her mornings to be more relaxed and not rushed through. Since that is just how I feel too. Who doesn’t want to wake up and feel relaxed without stressing over ideas to feed the kids.

I know I don’t!

Anyhow, Carrie gives some great tips when it comes to making breakfast and saving time!

  • She mentions that we should prep, each night or mid day for the next morning breakfast.
  • Waste not Want not – Carries implies that we should save  food that is not used from other  meals and re-use in breakfast meals ( vegetables, fruit)

Many of the Ideas were great ones too! You can tell just by reading this post, how uber excited I am about it.

For instance some of the recipes next on my list to try are the:

  • Yogurt Cups – All homemade. (Mostly)
  • Pre-made Smoothie Bags
  • Oatmeal Clafuotis
  • Using Rice as a Breakfast Idea in the Rice Cooker
  • Homemade Breakfast Granola and Breakfast Bars!

In fact tomorrow, I will be sharing a post detailing how I try out one of her crock pot oatmeal recipes!

The only drawback is that the book is really just print, not a whole lot of visual. If your into that sort of thing. It is very detail and step by step so either way it goes you won’t have any problem. Putting the recipes together.

I love this book, and if your interested in checking it out you can do so through amazon on by using your Amazon Pc Application, or your Kindle! In fact starting tomorrow the book will be free for 24hrs!

So Check it out!

Wow Elizabeth, thanks so much for the great review! I made the Oatmeal Clafoutis a couple of days ago and it’s so delicious and filling! I didn’t take my own advice yesterday and made breakfast in the morning, and it took me 45 minutes. LOL!
