My Small Pantry Organization Makeover | Part One

Hi, ya'll!

I have really been MIA on my little site, to say the least…

Our company has been really keeping me busy the past year at our car lot where we sell cash cars to those not looking to finance.The whole goal was to have me work for a while to a point that I could actually find and train someone to take my spot. And that we did, she is a great and loyal employee and is really doing a great job! Which has given me the freedom to come back home and do what I love most and that is hanging out with my kids and blogging.

Yeah, so things kicked off I am doing a pantry makeover and getting my poor little small pantry in check.

This little baby is unorganized and really needs some loving care to make it easier and efficient for me to cook in and find things. I don't know about you, but I am a very visual person and I love to have some sort of experience when I cook. But I guess that comes with the territory when you're a foodie like me and have to much stuff in the pantry.

Anyhow,  I wanted to re-do my small pantry on a budget and so I went scouring the internet looking for all sorts of ideas on organization, pantry organization ideas, and small pantry organization ideas. I even found out what my organization style and technique I should use from a fellow you-tuber and blogger over at clutterbugs in which I took the quiz to find out my own personal organization style.

You should do it —-> Check it out here!

I found out that I am a butterfly and do best with being able to see and know where my items are at, I am an auditory learner all the way. But a when it comes to my cleaning and organization style I'm definitely a visual person. I love comfort and charm, take the test and let me know what your style came out to be.

Some of the things I purchased are items from Michaels, Target, Dollar Tree and Family dollar like Mason Jars, small and big ones. Oxo Softworks 5 Piece container set and an additional one for more storage and some Ashland Storage essentials baskets for to hold things in. I even bought some plastic grip clear containers too. I do plan on purchasing more and since I want to get the really large glass mason jars from Amazon, I could not find any anywhere I went. So I am going to have to go online and buy that for my very top pantry.

Have you organized your pantry yet, if so what sort of things do you do to it?

I Tried A Sun Basket Food Delivery Kit!

“I received this product for free from Moms Meet to use and post my honest opinions. Compensations for this post was provided, however, all my views and opinions are my own.”

3 Free Meals - Sun Basket

I don't' know about you, but this was my very first time trying out a food delivery kit that gets sent to your home. There are so many box kits out there these days from beauty boxes to fitness boxes and even food meal delivery kits. Well, I was sent a  meal kit from Sun Basket to try out this past week, and to my surprise, I was pleasantly pleased.

Just the Idea of ordering food online sometimes scares me especially if its meat and vegetables. I like to smell my food and get a good look at it before I purchase it. However, I did my due diligence and Sun Basket Food Delivery kits do have many great reviews online.

So I was like, what the heck. I'll give it try.  Trying something once couldn't hurt me, could it? 😉

Well, just so you know Sun Basket is actually a great company, in fact, they are a healthy meal kit service that delivers top of the line top sustainably-sourced meat items. They use only organic fruits and vegetables for you to cook with for your family or significant other. They have many other options for you to choose from, which means you are able to order different meal kits that are either Paleo, Gluten-free, Vegetarian and even a Family option.

The Family option though is for a family of four at the moment, I spoke to a Sun-basket representative and they told me this coming year they will options for a family of 6. Which is something I need since I have four boys. But that didn't stop me from trying out the kit. I just added a little more items that I already had on hand to make it stretch.

Hey, it was sent to me, so you do what you gotta do.

As of now they even have a breakfast option, but I'm not at the level yet. Breakfast is something I can do at home on my own. Since they did send me two of the Family meal options to try out which are all kid friendly and tested to be easy to cook and clean up well.

Something else that is really cool, is that all the recipes are healthy 30-mintue recipes designed for minimal cleanup and tested to taste well and be kid friendly.  All recipes are developed by an award-winning San Franciso Chef and Chef Tyler Florence helps with one of the recipes each week for the family kit. In fact, the food kit's are sent in 100% recyclable packaging.

When you do order you are able to choose any recipe you like and I think up to two a week depending on which kit you decide to go with.  You won't have to worry about the food because my food was sent very quick and very well insulated and cold when It got delivered to my front door. They even have the food delivered in the evening, to make sure it is not sitting outside your door for too long!

How cool it that!

My two meals that I chose was the Vietnamese steak stir-fry with jasmine rice and the Sesame-crusted chicken with roasted new potato salad.

I made the both dishes the same week, back to back. The first one with steak stir-fry was a huge hit in my home. My kids loved it so much that I plan to make the dish again in the future. Like I said before I had to add some more rice to it since I am feeding a family of six, not four. The meat stretched and the dish was very flavorful and really easy to cook.

The rice I cooked in my Rice cooker and everything else I made in the pan, once finished I topped the rice with the stir-fry and served. It was delicious!!!

The Sesame-Crusted Chicken with the roasted potatoes salad sounded and looked great in the photos, but for some reason, I could not get the crust to stay on the chicken while it cooked in the pan. I did the best I could and it smelled great. However, we ended up eating everything else with the chicken. Except the sesame panko crust did not stay on like I wanted it too. My kids still ate it though and it still had great flavor.

All in all, I was impressed with Sun-Baskets Food Delivery Kits, I'm not one to order too much food online. But the service was delivered quickly to my home. The items all were fresh, and the food recipes had great flavor with a restaurant vibe that you are able to make all from the comfort of your home.

Despite, the one issue I had with sesame seeds. I am curious to try out a couple more food items, especially for days when you don't want to cook and want to try something different. You are not stuck in any month to month contracts, in fact, you just order when you order, and you cancel membership at any time.

Sun-basket is really on to something here and I think they are going to be around for a very long time.

So you know if you do decide to try them you will be able to get your first three meals free!

How To Make A Homemade Natural Stain Remover

Homemade Natural Stain Remover

There are many different ways to make and use homemade natural stain removers, I tend to buy them most of the time. However, when you are short on time and want really need a quick solution to get a stain out of your clothes or anything else in your house. You might want to try mixing coconut oil with a solution to help rid the stain loose. Coconut oil is great for so many uses, and can really help to loosen up stains in a short period of time.

If you have a stain on your carpet, rug, or clothing, you might be trying to use a store-bought product to remove the stain. Not only are these not always the most effective method, but they often contain harsh ingredients you might not want on your body or in your home. A better option is to turn to natural stain removers, such as those listed here.

Homemade Basic Stain Remover Spray:

This first natural stain remover only contains a few simple ingredients in order to help you get rid of stains on clothing or other fabrics without using any harsh ingredients. You can put the finished mixture in a spray bottle and keep it in your laundry room. Spray stains before putting clothes or linens in the washer, and it should work great.

For the simplest recipe, you just need some natural soap, such as Dr. Bronners Sal Suds, water, and coconut oil, plus a spray bottle. Combine the ingredients in the bottle, then spray it on the stains before washing.

Other Ingredients to Use

You can also use a variety of other natural ingredients to make your own stain remover spray. You may find your own formula that works best for you and want to keep it a secret, or you can find a combination that people often like to use. Here are some of the best options for natural ingredients when talking about a stain remover:

* Baking Soda
* Vinegar
* Hydrogen Peroxide
* Natural Soap
* Coconut Oil
* Lemon Juice
* Oxygen Bleach

When you are putting together your very own natural stain remover, make sure you are careful about it and that you don’t test it on a large piece of fabric or clothing. Test it on something like a towel first to make sure it doesn’t change the color of the material or cause other bad reactions.

Once you have made your natural stain remover with coconut oil and other natural ingredients, make sure you never rub the stain. Whether it is in carpet, your clothing, or linens, blotting should always be done. If you catch the stain following a spill when it is wet, blot it dry with paper towels first. You can then spray the stain and blot it once more. The only exception is when it is on clothing you are about to put in the washer. You can apply the stain remover, let it sit for a few minutes, then put it in the washer.

I hope this helps!

My Dr Ohhira’s Probiotics Experience

Dr. Ohhira's Probiotics

This past month I had the privilege to be able to receive and experience Dr. Ohhira's Probiotics. Th.e one that I got was the Essential Formula the original formula, which is a complete probiotic system with live cultures.

I'm not new to taking probiotics, in fact,  I give them to my kids as much as I can when I remember too. Probiotics are so great for your health and I really do feel giving them to my kids has helped to boost their immune system and keeps them from getting sick.  Really, my kids hardly ever get sick and when they do I tend to nip it in the bud with a couple of other herbs.

That's is why I feel that a healthy mind and body really does start in the gut, and if you have a healthy gut flora your body will be able to combat a lot of bad bacteria that could make you sick.

Dr. Ohhira's Probiotics are award-winning and feature the use of a Japanese fermentation and modern technology to give you a great start at a healthy digestive system.  This probiotic system is fermented for three years with 12 strains of lactic acid and bacteria. It is then encapsulated within a mixture of seaweed, mushrooms, fruits and vegetables.  Which will your body a complete system of probiotics, enzymes and other nutrients.

One of the reasons that I really wanted to try this brand of Probiotics out. Is because I haven't been taking a great care of myself lately as I should. I know this because although my kids have not gotten sick, I've been getting sick this year a lot on my own. I know it has to come from me eating things I should not be eating and taking in way to many sugars.  I really wanted to give my body's natural immune response a boost.

So I started taking the capsules for a little over a month now and some days I missed but I pretty much stuck to the plan. Two a day before food. I noticed at about 2 1/2 weeks in my body was starting to shake a little and I would burst out in weird chills from hot to cold. That sort of worried me so from that point,  I was taking only one a day. I  don't know if my body did not like the two a day, or if it was going through the detox process or something.

All I know, Is that once I went down to one a day it stopped and I was still able to see results. My skin got a lot clearer, my eyes were a lot whiter and my daily bowel movements were more on point and uniform.

Sorry to give so much information 🙂

One thing I can say it that I have really enjoyed taking Dr. Ohhira's Probiotis and I do plan on purchasing them again once I finish my pack of 60 capsules.

Target Haul: Natural Products For the Home

Target haul

So, this is not one of my most newer videos this past week but it is one of my more recent videos that I posted recently. I wanted to show you some of the natural products that I tend to get at target. Along with some new items that I found on sale with the weekly target deals that they have. I love shopping at target and you can find a ton of target store deals if you shop there enough and know where to look.

Each week, especially around this time of year right before and after each season ends they always have a ton of stuff on clearance shelves in just about every category. One of my favorite spots is when they drop the prices down super low in the beauty section. I was able to get a new product that I have never tried before like the S.W. Basics Rosewater Cleanser and their Apple Cider Vinegar facial toner.

These products work really well together and have done quite a number on my skin, which left me quite impressed. My husband likes the Olivella Daily Facial wipes which he uses to refresh his skin throughout the day at work. I love the Alba Botanica Hawaiian Detox Volcanic Clay wipes. I was able to get all these products on sale for a discounted price.

In fact, I even made a video to show some of the products I got. Now, mind you, not all the products are natural, just as my husband does not like all natural products all the time.

Tell me what sort of products do you love to get at target?
