My 3 Month Loc Journey: I loc’d My Hair!

It's that time again to show you what I've been up to with my hair. I decided to go back to locs! Loc's are something I have always loved my for hair, they are so easy to have. They don't require that much up-keep and really fits in with my lifestyle. I can just get up go as I please, re-locing my hair is by far one of the best decisions I've made in a long time.

If you have type 4 hair or 4c hair then you know how difficult it is to keep up with your hair, especially if your already short on time. My natural hair is very tightly coiled and required tons of nurture and care to keep it healthy.

I'm not about that life anymore. In fact all I want to do is wash and go.

Yep, just get up and go 🙂

I started my locs with the two strand twists method, I did not do them myself but decided to go to a loctician to start them for me. Hey, maybe one day I'll learn to do them on my own. But until then I'm going to the stylist to have them re-twisted.

I wish I would have posted on here a lot earlier and showed you guys my 1 month and 2 month loc journey.

But I didn't,  so I'm hoping this 3 month loc journey update will suffice  going forward. 🙂

Flexi Puzzle From Brainwright

So my son recently got a gift from his Nana called the Flexi Puzzle from Brainwright. This one toy is definitely a brain teaser of a game that will for sure have your mind bending in all sorts of ways. Especially if you're not the type to use your brain on mind-bending toys.

Like I haven't in awhile. 🙂

This Flexi Puzzle was bought for my youngest son to use but the thought of him concentrating on something more than 5 minutes like a toy. Is something that has never really interested him unless it's some sort of computer game. So to have him sit and figure something out on a puzzle was way too much work for him if you let him tell it.

Just the sight of it was too funny, how he just threw to the side after a minute or so. But that did not stop me from playing with it. I love toys, in fact I'm quite the kid around here and I really don't mind putting things together and figuring stuff out. I'm no engineer, but hey I do get a kick out  of just plain o'l fun.

Check it out after a little while of practice I was able to master quite a few of the mind-bending twist and turns of this brainwright Flexi puzzle.

After awhile my middle son decided to pick it up and give it go, but this kid was knocking them out left and right from the very beginning! I mean he was a full master from the start. Lol…

I sort of got jealous for second and realized this kid has a natural gift of putting things together and taking them apart. I mean hey he was a lego fanatic for the longest time and really into Kinect's for a while.

Do your kids love stem toys, my boys love them and this little flexi puzzle is really quite addictive. I found myself keeping it in my purse to see if I could master all the levels  that came in the book as shown here.

 

This Flexi Puzzle by Brainwright includes 4 different levels of difficulty, 80 Challenges, a 12 cube flexi puzzle and is great for those 8 and up like my boys.

Just like the packaging says this brain-bending puzzle is hard to put down!

 

I couldn't stop! 🙂

When Your Having That Mom Moment …

Today was a long day for me with school starting back this past month. I have been homeschooling two of my kids with two in public school. I also have been working a little more than part-time with my husband at our car lot. Since one of our employees decided to leave. So, I have been forced to pick up the extra slack until we hire someone in the clerical position and get them trained to point of proficiency.

Tired is an understatement….

Running around in a car throughout the week is not how I like to spend most of my time. So when I get home and the other kids still have homework, and dinner needs to be cooked and little mouths are yelling Ma, Ma.

I'm like please, one sec, just give me a minute.

Lol 😉

I don't have to go in tomorrow so I'm for sure  I'll have a better day tomorrow.

DIY: Easy Blue Cheese Dressing Recipe

This past week I whipped up one of my favorite Easy blue dressing Recipe that I love to make. Nothing tastes better than making your own homemade salad dressings. When all those tastes combine and flavors blend and harmonize. It just makes for a great  salad dressing.  In fact it could be one my ultimate blue cheese dressing recipe to date. This one can be eaten with hot wings for dipping or on a salad.

 

DIY Easy Blue Cheese Dressing

I prefer to make this particular one for my own salads and especially for my hot wings in which I make at home in the oven and than I place on my homemade wing sauce on top.

This particular blue cheese dressing however, is a little on the thicker side but not that much. It is only because I add a ton of blue cheese inside of it.

I like to taste the chunks. You just have to add as much as you want inside of your own.  You can even add some buttermilk or plain milk to it to loosen up the blue cheese dressing.

If you want a creamer one.

I prefer this one for a dipping sauce mainly.

Great with Wings! -;)

 

Easy Blue Cheese Dressing Recipe:

  • Add about equal parts mayo to sour cream 1 cup mayo and 1 cup sour cream – I Prefer a little less mayo to sour-cream however that's my Personal preference.
  • Fold in the blue cheese crumbles about one container full depending on how chunky you want it.
  • Dash of Salt and pepper
  • Dash Of Garlic Powder
  • Dash of Worcestershire sauce
  • Pinch of Hot sauce.

 

All you need to do is mix the sour cream with the mayonnaise, add in the salt and pepper. A dash of hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Fold in the blue cheese crumbles and place in a mason jar.

Wa' la your good to go. The longer the dressing sits in the fridge the better. I tend to make it a couple of hours before I eat the wings or even better yet you can eat on a ice-berg salad with homemade bacon crumbles.

Home Acne Remedies That Work Overnight

I love using at home acne remedies to treat my acne. Especially home acne remedies that work overnight really fast.  I have always had some sort of skin issue since I was a child and I really need to stop eating to many sweet things. Since I know that to much sugar can cause my skin to flare up more.

However, that is another story all in itself. 😉

One of the ways that I love to help treat my acne issues is to use about a 2 tablespoons of Apple cider vinegar and a one Tablespoon of water with a cotton ball. It's best to use distilled water or  filtered. But whatever you have will do just fine. You will need to make sure you clean your face first and than than dab the cotton ball in the acne solution and dab on your face.

Make sure rub it in pretty thoroughly.

Once you have finished doing that you will need to rinse your face off with some water.You don't want to leave any of the apple cider vinegar smell behind. It's not even that bad but you don't want to keep on smelling it.

Than I like to dry my face and rub coconut oil all over my face at night before I go to bed. The  coconut I leave on my face and I don't rinse it off.

It stays on.

 

 

 

 

These two are some the fastest acne treatments that I have come across that work fast. It is in my opinion on the best home acne treatments that work fast.
