Three Ingredient Smoothies – That You will Love!

quick and easy smoothiesWe all know that green smoothies are good for you in all shapes and forms, but sometimes just the prep work involved that comes with buying the veggies, cleaning them, and juicing them can take a little bit of time.

Especially for the novice.

Green juices and smoothies mixed with vegetables and coconut milk, aloe water to name a few are great for detoxing the body from the inside out.

I personally love my green-filled juices and smoothies! Even more so with quick and easy smoothies that can be made in a pinch.

Like when I use my affordable portable blender to make some awesome smoothies.

 

Smoothies are really great and kids always love them. These really are easy smoothies that you can make at home.

So simple.

And I really need to focus more time on making them on a daily basis!

Yes, like daily they're just that darn good.

Green Smoothie Recipes For Beginners: Detox

As part of my detox Challenge I have been eating really clean healthy foods in attempt  to cleanse my body of all the gunk. Usually about every two days I make a green smoothie and everyday I will make sure to eat a salad with dark leafy greens.  Dark leafy greens are full of a ton of vitamins that help the body speed up the detoxification process.

If you have not had the chance yet to read my  Intro to Detoxification you can do so here.

Below I show you one of my green smoothie recipes. I call this one my sunset passion, because it contains peaches, almost the color of the sun and red strawberries which invokes passion to me.  It contains Ice,  water, kefir,  honey, spinach and my handy dandy amazing super grass supplements. I just take about four of them and open up the gel case and pour the ingredients into the smoothie machine.

I usually buy the supplements from whole foods, but you can also get them on amazon.

Green Smoothies

The first thing that I do is assemble all the ingredients together as you can see in photo above. About a cup n half of spinach, 1 bag of organic frozen peaches (semi – thawed).  1 cup of ice, 1 cup of water because  I like my smoothies sort of creamy and not as thick. 4 Amazing green grass supplements and honey. Just about 1 tablespoon or two depending on your taste buds.

You have to make sure it is pure Un-refined honey, that is not heated or pasteurized. Because you will be missing out on valuable vitamins if it is. Honey is considered a miracle sweetness because of all the antioxidants it contains and the healing properties it as able to produce.

I place everything in the container together.

Then the last step is just to blend, I sometimes add about a half cup of kefir which is a natural milk probiotic for extra creaminess but you can also add coconut milk, water, raw milk whatever fits your taste.

Then “Wa, La you have a simple easy tasty green smoothie.  You can drink smoothies twice a day with salads for a couple of days and you are already on a natural detox diet. That is filling and does not taste bad at all.

There you go.

Once smooth  you are all done and ready to enjoy your tasty, healthy green smoothie. You could also make a pineapple and banana one with the spinach and amazing green grass. Absolutely delicious!

This is one smoothie that is kid tested, mother approved. My kids love it.

Make My Organic Green Smoothie Recipe – Awesome For Natural Energy

As part of the second follow-up on how to make some cool green salads, I wanted to share with you my favorite organic green smoothie that I make at least two to three times a week. I don't do this every day but at least three times a week.  A couple of years ago after the birth of my last son and already being anemic my iron had become very low even with the help of supplements. And I need something that was going to help me get my iron back up. I am constantly busy with four small boys and having iron helps you to have energy. Iron is needed for your blood to have proper circulation and if it does not have that your blood is not getting enough oxygen to your blood supply which leads to feeling tired or lack of energy.

Even though you can take supplements they are better taken in their raw form or broken down with food added to them to aid with digestion. When you eat real food your body recognizes what it is and is able to transfer that into energy right away. And knowing that iron is broken down by orange juice because of the acid, I decided to Use Spinach and Orange juice together and my Amazing Grass green superfoods supplementation.

I use spinach because spinach is full of iron, orange juice helps to break down the iron a lot quicker in its raw form. Then I added my amazing grass green superfood that aids in giving me more energy, detoxifies my body naturally, regulates my metabolism and controls my appetite, and balances my body alkalinity levels or our body's natural PH.

Cool Stuff huh……..

I always feel so great I after I make this green smoothie.

The amazing green grass ingredients include:

  • organic wheatgrass
  • organic barley grass, organic alfalfa
  • organic spirulina
  • organic spinach
  • organic Chlorella
  • organic broccoli

Antioxidant Blend includes:

  • Organic Acai
  • Organic Maca ( helps to stabilize mood and menstrual cycles)

1 cup spinach
