The one thing I dread about being a woman, is the monthly monster that I have to live with.  It comes on once a month and even before it gets here I live with fear of the day of it coming on.  Sometimes I convince myself that I should get pregnant again just so I can have at least  9 months of no period. 😉

Crazy right, but I almost convinced my husband of the lofty idea…..

But hey, that monster is living with me a least a little while longer and taking up  occupancy inside my body like that little monster which popped out the chest of the characters on the movie Alien.  Sorry for the visual ,but that's how I feel about my little friend.

I don't have to go into the details about what it does to the female body, since if you are reading my post you are more than likely a female and  know what goes on with the monthly little monster. 😉

Anyhow, my monster used to be a nice easy going tenant, that only visited once a month and was pretty easy going. Now since the past couple of years since my last son was born and couple of female issues. My monthly pre menstrual cycle has taken a huge turn and around the block. I used to never have any of the monthly pre menstrual symptoms except bloating, if rarely.  Now I get every thing and in between, from the cramps, the flow, bloating, and so forth.  To add on to it I started to suffer from not even being able to leave the house for the first day, sometimes two. Due to the pain!

That's not all though,  I even started to get really nauseous to the point of puking every single month when my menstrual came on.  If I tried to take pain medication like acetaminophen it would just make it worse and  cause me to puke more. I don't know what it is about certain pain pills now, but I can't take any or I get extremely sick. The only one I take and only if I have too. Is Ibuprofen.

But only if I have no choice and all my other options fail.

Anyhow, my little monster put me on a mission to search out some the best natural ways to deal with PMS.  Natural PMS Relief is real and I have discovered what works for me. I know it won't work for everyone since every woman's body is different and responds well to different things. So I will tell you what has been working for me.

I don't consider myself a person that suffers from severe PMS, but I do consider a lot worse compared with what I was used too deal with. Just a few years back.  Some of the natural remedies for PMS that I have been using are really quite simple.

Here is the breakdown:

  • I drink Red Raspberry Leaf tea
  • I take about a teaspoon a Maca Powder everyday for two weeks before my cycle comes on.
  • Along with my regular 3/4 teaspoon on Fermented cod liver oil everyday
  • I also consume a mixed component of vitamins D, k, mk-7, calcium, phosphorus, zinc in which I get from Dental Essentials
  • I also take the Vitamin Codes B – complex
  • Consume Raw Milk from the farm (Weston Price)
  • I mix up Ultra Greens

Studies have show that women who suffer the most from PMS are are lacking in certain vitamins and minerals in the body.  So, I started to up my mineral game! I try to get most of my nutrients from my food. However, now I started to supplement with whole food vitamins that are soy, gluten, preservative free.  It has made a huge difference on the mood swings I was having along with the pain and nausea feeling.  Its still a work in progress but right now its doable and some months I don't have any symptoms at all.

The maca powder has really been the lifesaver,  because right away I can feel the effects on my body, it helps to balance out the hormones in the body which helps me to feel less pain and not so dizzy.

Just drinking more raw milk and upping my calcium game really smooths it all out.

All I can say is that finding natural ways to deal with PMS is not that hard it just takes a little bit of planning and giving your body what it needs to get through the monster storm 😉
